Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival to Gangtok

Pick up from Bagdogra airport at 1:00 PM and depart for Gangtok (approximately 70 km / 2.5 hours). Note that tourists arriving after 1 PM will incur an additional charge of around Rs 4500 to 5000 per vehicle. If you have a personal vehicle, there will be no time limit for pickups and drops.

Day 2 Gangtok Local Sightseeing

After morning tea, drive from Gangtok to Changu Lake and Baba Mandir (approximately 55 km / 3 hours along hill roads). Due to potential weather conditions such as snowfall, landslides, or traffic jams, alternate sightseeing may be arranged if any roads are closed. Changu Lake is situated at an altitude of 12,310 feet, and Baba Temple is at 13,200 feet. Visits to Changu Lake and Nathula Pass are at your own expense (closed every Monday).

Day 3 Proceed towards Lachung

After morning tea and breakfast, check out from the hotel in Gangtok. Pack warm clothes and only two pairs of clothes for your bag, then leave for Lachung (approximately 80 km / 2 hours along hill roads). Lachung is located in the northern part of Sikkim at an altitude of 8,700 feet. After visiting various waterfalls en route, arrive at the hotel in Lachung to rest.

Day 4 Yumthang Valley

After early morning tea and breakfast, leave for Yumthang Valley, an extremely cold hill station at an altitude of 12,000 feet, surrounded by snow-clad mountains. This area is also known as the Valley of Flowers. Tourists wishing to visit Zero Point beyond Yumthang will need to pay an additional fee. After lunch in Lachung, return to Gangtok (approximately 110 km / 6 hours along hill roads).

Day 5 Gangtok to Pelling

After early morning tea and breakfast, depart for Pelling from Gangtok (approximately 150 km along hill roads). This includes a visit to Do-Dul Chorten and the Flower Show. Pelling is a beautiful hill station located at an altitude of 6,300 feet, offering scenic views of Gangtok. If you wish to visit Namchi and Ravangala (Buddha Temple), additional fees will apply.

Day 6 Pelling to Darjeeling

After morning tea, visit Sky Walk with the Chenreji Statue, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentsi Ruins, and Bird Sanctuary before proceeding to Darjeeling from Pelling (approximately 80 km / 3 hours along hill roads).

Day 7 Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

At 4:00 AM, reach Tiger Hill by vehicle to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Enjoy the majestic views of the Kanchenjunga range, the third highest peak in the world at 28,208 feet, visible from India and bathed in the golden rays of the rising sun. After visiting the Monastery and Gurkha War Memorial (Batasia Loop), return to the hotel for tea and breakfast. Get ready for further sightseeing around Darjeeling or enjoy self-excursions. (Note: The toy train must be booked from the IRCTC website after 2 PM at your own cost.)

Day 8 Departure

After morning tea and breakfast, conclude the tour with a drop-off from Darjeeling to Bagdogra airport. Please book your flight or train for after 12 noon (approximately 90 km / 3 hours along hill roads). A compulsory drop-off at Bagdogra Airport at 6 AM after breakfast is required if your vehicle is shared. If a traveler has a train or flight at a different time, they will need to pay Rs 4500 to 5000 for an extra vehicle at their own expense.
