Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport at 1:00 pm, head directly to Gangtok. (Approx. 70 km / 2.5 hrs). For those arriving after 1 pm, an additional charge of Rs 4500 to 5000 per vehicle will be applicable for the transfer. Travelers using their own vehicle will have no time restrictions for pick-ups and drop-offs.
After morning tea, embark on a scenic drive to Changu Lake and Baba Mandir (Approx. 55 km / 3 hours on mountainous roads). In case of road closures due to weather, snow, landslides, or traffic jams, alternative sightseeing will be arranged. Changu Lake is at an altitude of 12,310 feet, and Baba Mandir is situated at 13,200 feet. Please note, a visit to Changu Lake and Nathula Pass is at your own expense and subject to availability (Nathula Pass is closed on Mondays).
After morning tea and breakfast, check out from the hotel and pack warm clothing along with a few outfits in your bag. Leave Gangtok for Lachung (Approx. 80 km / 2 hours on hill roads). Lachung, located in North Sikkim at 8,700 feet, is known for its serene beauty. Enjoy the waterfalls on the way before arriving at the hotel to rest.
Start early with tea and breakfast, then head out to Yumthang Valley, a scenic destination situated at 12,000 feet, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Known as the "Valley of Flowers," Yumthang offers stunning views. (For those wishing to visit Zero Point beyond Yumthang, additional charges will apply). After lunch in Lachung, proceed back to Gangtok (Approx. 110 km / 6 hours on hill roads).
After an early breakfast, depart for Pelling from Gangtok (Approx. 150 km). Along the way, visit Do-Dul Chorten and experience the beauty of the Flower Exhibition Center. Pelling is a tranquil hill station perched at 6,300 feet, offering magnificent views. (A side trip to Namchi or Ravangala (Buddha Park) can be arranged for an additional fee).
Start the day with tea, then explore the Sky Walk and Chenrezig Statue, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, and the Bird Sanctuary. From Pelling, proceed to the picturesque town of Darjeeling (Approx. 80 km / 3 hours on hilly terrain).
At 4:00 am, head to Tiger Hill to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range. Marvel at the spectacular views of the peaks, which stand at 28,208 feet and are visible from India, bathed in the golden light of dawn. Afterward, visit the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop War Memorial. Return to the hotel for breakfast and prepare for a day of exploring Darjeeling at your leisure. (For those interested in the toy train experience, bookings must be made through the IRCTC website post-2 pm, at personal expense).
After morning tea and breakfast, bid farewell as the journey concludes. Drop-off to Bagdogra Airport is scheduled with flights or trains after 12 pm. (Approx. 90 km / 3 hours on hill roads). For those sharing a vehicle, a mandatory drop-off at 6 am is scheduled post-breakfast. If a different flight or train schedule is needed, an extra vehicle can be arranged at the traveler’s expense (Rs 4500 to 5000).
