For most travelers looking for a well-rounded experience, the summer months from June to August are ideal. During this time, the weather is pleasant, and most attractions are open and easily accessible. If you’re specifically interested in winter sports or wish to see the region blanketed in snow, the winter months are perfect for your visit. Meanwhile, those who appreciate the beauty of autumn foliage and blooming flowers will find the spring and autumn seasons particularly enchanting in Kashmir.
Ultimately, regardless of when you choose to visit, Kashmir’s natural beauty and cultural richness are sure to leave a lasting impression.
Due to the ongoing issues with taxi unions at Jammu and Katra railway stations, all travelers are required to reach our hotels in Jammu or Katra directly from the respective railway stations. From there, Shri Bharat Travels & Tourism will provide the necessary services for your journey.
If your first night is in Katra, we offer a complimentary one-time transfer on a 2*2 non-AC bus from Jammu to Katra at 7:10 PM. However, guests must arrange their own transportation to our hotel in Jammu from either the Jammu railway station or the airport.

Depart from Jammu/Katra at 7:00 AM for Srinagar, covering approximately 250 km (around 8 hours). Upon arrival at your hotel in Srinagar, you can enjoy a scenic Shikara ride in the evening at your own expense.
We offer deluxe accommodations in Srinagar; however, if you prefer to stay in a houseboat, please inform us before booking, as there will be a price difference. Guests staying in houseboats must arrange their own transportation by auto to our designated dining location for meals, or they can choose to pay for dinner and breakfast directly at the houseboat.
If the traveler arrives in Srinagar within the specified time, a complimentary lunch will be provided by the company.
Shri Bharat Travels & Tourism is dedicated to making your stay comfortable and enjoyable, whether in a deluxe hotel or a charming houseboat.
Departure from Srinagar to Sonmarg will be after 8:30 AM, covering approximately 80 km (around 3 hours). Upon arrival at the hotel, you can visit Thajiwas Glacier after lunch, with horse rides available at your own expense.
Please note that due to frequent heavy snowfall and extreme cold in Sonmarg, tours from November 15 to March 31 will only include an overnight stay in Sonmarg if weather conditions allow. The road from Ganderbal to Sonmarg is often closed due to snowfall, and in such cases, travelers will need to arrange a chained vehicle at their own expense, provided by the local union. The approximate cost for this vehicle ranges from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3500.
This additional cost cannot be included in the tour price, as such road closures occur only 15 to 20 times a year.

Check out from the hotel at 9 AM and take the opportunity to explore the remaining sights of Sonmarg at your own pace. After enjoying lunch at 12 noon, depart for Srinagar, covering approximately 80 km (around 3 hours).
On your way to Srinagar, be sure to visit the beautiful Shalimar, Nishat, and Chashme Shahi Gardens, renowned for their stunning Mughal architecture and serene landscapes.
Shri Bharat Travels & Tourism will ensure a pleasant journey as you transition from the breathtaking views of Sonmarg to the charming gardens of Srinagar.
Travel from Srinagar to Gulmarg, covering approximately 55 km (about 2 hours). In Gulmarg, you can enjoy a Gondola ride (ropeway) at your own expense and return while taking in the scenic views of Khilanmarg.
Please note that online tickets for the Gulmarg Ropeway should be booked by the booking staff of our office at least one month prior to your visit through the website www.jammuandkashmircablecar.com, and this cost will be at your own expense for the time slot after 11 AM.
Due to the long wait times for the Gondola, it may not be possible to arrive on time for lunch in Gulmarg; therefore, lunch is not provided during this excursion. Booking the ropeway tickets is the sole responsibility of the traveler, and once booked, these tickets cannot be canceled or refunded for any reason.
Special Note: The road from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is occasionally closed due to snowfall. In such instances, travelers will need to arrange a chained vehicle at their own expense, provided by the local union, with an approximate cost ranging from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3500 per vehicle. This cost cannot be included in the tour price, as such road closures typically occur only 15 to 20 times a year.

Travel from Srinagar to Pahalgam, covering approximately 90 km (about 3 hours). Upon arrival, take some time to rest at your hotel. We strive to provide accommodations in Pahalgam that are close to major city centers; however, these hotels may be more basic compared to those in Srinagar. If you wish to upgrade your hotel, this can be arranged for an additional charge.
On your journey from Srinagar to Pahalgam, you will pass through the Pampore area, known for its saffron fields and cricket bat factory. We recommend not spending too much time shopping here to ensure you arrive in Pahalgam in time for lunch.
After checking in at Pahalgam, you can visit Baisaran on horseback at your own expense, or explore Aru Valley by hiring a local union taxi, also at your own expense. Please note that river rafting is not recommended in this area, as it can be dangerous.
